Joyscrolling: Reclaiming Your Feed & Your Frequency

Normally, I don’t like the trend of asking AI for answers "just to see what it says." Too often, the results lean dystopian—detached, cold, and driven by fear-based narratives. But today, I did something different.

I noticed YouTube was feeding me junk—videos I didn’t care about, filled with drama, hopelessness, and AI-generated fear-mongering. It felt like scrolling the 6 o’clock news: tragedy-heavy, soul-numbing, and subtly disempowering.

So instead of doomscrolling, I asked ChatGPT how to help me shift into something more aligned with what I actually want in my life: joy, hope, inspiration, and truth. I wanted to joyscroll.

What followed reminded me of something essential:

Technology isn't inherently good or bad—it reflects how we choose to use it.

What we feed our minds becomes the lens through which we view the world. And that lens shapes our reality.

Why This Matters

With over 8 billion people on Earth, there will always be tragedy. And mainstream media knows that fear sells. The problem? It rarely offers an equal dose of hope, innovation, or healing.

Algorithms are trained by attention. If you want to live in a world that feels more inspired, empowered, and abundant, you have to consciously choose what you give your attention to.

So I started joyscrolling. Here's what that looks like:

🔄 How to Reset Your YouTube Algorithm✅ Actively Do:

  • Search and Watch What You Want More Of

Watch 3–5 videos in a row around joy, beauty, healing, creativity, or wisdom. Finish them or watch 80%+ to signal genuine interest.

  • Like, Comment, Subscribe

Engagement tells the algorithm: “Give me more of this.”

  • Use Intentional Keywords

    Try searching for:

    • “joyful living vlog”

    • “slow living morning routine”

    • “consciousness expansion documentary”

    • “high frequency music”

    • “manifestation motivation”

    • “spiritual humor” or “cosmic comedy”

  • Create a ‘Joyscroll’ Playlist

Curate a sacred space of videos that uplift you. Revisit daily to re-pattern your feed.

🚫 Actively Avoid:

  • Don’t click on fear-based or outrage thumbnails—even out of curiosity.

  • Don’t half-watch low-vibe content; even 20 seconds still counts.

  • Hit “Don’t Recommend Channel” on anything that drains your energy.

  • Clear your watch history if your feed feels too far gone.

(Settings → History → Manage All History → Delete last 7 or 30 days)

💡 Final Thought:

Your attention is a currency—and you’re spending it every time you scroll.

Spend it like you’re investing in the future you want to live in.

Joyscrolling may seem small, but it’s part of a larger shift: from reactive consumer to conscious creator. We can’t change the whole world in one click—but we can change what world we live in online.

And that’s where the awakening begins.
